The city of Jupiter, Florida is a great place to go when you want to get away from it all. It is great because it is not a tourist attraction, so there are not many people there except for the locals. You can stay in the Best Western Intracoastal Inn where the service is fantastic, you even get breakfast. At this Inn, there is a swimming pool. From the deck of the pool you can see the Intracoastal Waterway. It is beautiful during the sunset. You can walk out of the inn and go directly to Jupiter's Riverwalk, which when completed will be a little over 2 miles. You actually get to walk over the water. While your in town, you can go to the Burt Reynolds museum. It has a lot of memorabilia from his movies, plus autographs and more from a lot of famous people. There are many places to eat. The majority of them being fast food, with some higher priced sit down. You get to make u-turns almost everywhere you go (otherwise you can't get to some places) and they are legal! I am a person who loves cemeteries. I find them peaceful and calm. There are some pretty cool cemeteries around there too. My favorite was one is Woodlawn Cemetery. There you will find many beautiful graves and statues. There are also some enormous trees. Trees so big that you could live inside of one. The beach is only ?? of a mile from the hotel, you can walk or drive. Since there are not any hotels on the beach, it is less crowded than most beaches. The water was clean, clear, and calm during our stay, although at certain times, they say you can surf there. The sunrise over the ocean is breathtaking. Person's with pets can even take them to the beach. There is ample parking on the roadway to go to the beach. There are several walkways down to the beach. Some go straight down, while others turn throughout the beach plants and trees. When you decide that you are ready to leave the beach, there are wash stations at the top of most of the walkways to clean the sand off of you before getting into your car. I do not like being around people. Thats why I love this place so much. If you are into going to a place where you can get away from it all, where there are not many others going there, then Jupiter is the place for you. Plus you can tell all of your friends that you have been to Jupiter! |
